The disappointment or resentment one feels to bands that show incredible promise to begin with, then throw it away in the quest for commercial success is a major sticking point in the minds of Xulborgs... Ancient were one such band, such promise they had with their debut album , Svartalvheim, only to lose a key member and begin walking safer paths of musical non-exploration. This early era is one of those classic sounds for the earlier days of Norway's output before the labels began scooping up everything possible for consumption.
