Carcharoth

Darkspace-lite.
From Germany, some of the most random shit thrown together in all seriousness, the keys never seem to fit the guitar, or the beat, but it works for me.
Because at the heart of all this, Xul is there, vowing to continue promoting the mysteries of the beyond, whilst giving you soundtracks to jerk off onto a kittens face.

Contra Ignem Fatuum

UK Black Metal that doesn't sound like it's simply trying to fill an empty slot in the latest local pub line up.
I'm sad to say this is only 20 minutes long, and sad because the second track, which is Black Metal, is rather brilliant.
That is, within the walls of the style it's played in, which would be atmospheric/ambient.
Tracks 1&3 are martial ambient pieces of music, which are no less good tracks, better for the fact that the first is merely leading up to 'Detritus' and the final song is almost like a farewell for now piece of beauty.
With subtle but superbly exicuted synths lingering throughout, this is a cold affair and I'm sure this band could offer us something truly great...it seems however that there's no recent news on their movements, which is a shame....still Xul will be looking out for Contra Ignem Fatuum in the future.

Trist

Aran of Lunar Aurora.
Ambient/Black Metal. Mostly Ambient and not bad at that. Also an artist, Aran has created all this projects covers as well as the logo(Not to mention alot of the Lunar Aurora covers, as well as some bands over the last few years like Horna and TotalSelfHatred).
Now the music, you'll either really enjoy and "get" or you won't, so those who don't fukk off and go make a chairty donation, you feeble twat.
Start with Hin-Fort which is a double disc album, Hin featuring a single song of over 70's minutes, which includes uninspiried hypnotic Black Metal guitars, and Fort is the ambient side of things.
Move onto Willenskraft next which is the 2009 album and is more of a complete work in the sense that the whole album is a mix of the two styles.

Necropolis

Necrosphere, another Cold Spring release, which tells you it's automatically worth checking out.
Hailing from Siberia, we have two tracks of cold Dark Ambient, the first being released on CD-R a while ago, and very limited, now released with an extra track at 14 minutes long.

Turn that Metal off for 45 minutes and feed your Astral Ambient urges.

Arecibo

The Xuliverse is speaking... Do you know how to listen? Do you hear the commands? Do you sense it? Arecibo have... There is a comfort in the language of the Xuliverse. "Worry not, your time is short, your joy and suffering are only fleeting. This phase of your molecular atomic energy can be put to better use in another form." No human rationalized nonsense of existence being made out of love. No simplistic theory of "God's plan for your life and afterlife.". The Xuliverse just is, and for a little while, so are you. The constant lesson of existence that passes down to us that listen. Watch the sky to see what we truly are and will become.

Tholen - Sternklang

Yes, more Astral Ambient to freeze your veins.

Gustaf Hildebrand

Insects larger than your skull
Rivers that never end
Worms that feast on mountains
Moons that mock your troubles
Everyone is dead
Apart from you, and you are stuck here on this terrible planet, created through vibrations within the air, brought to you by Gustaf Hildebrand.

Lacus Somniorum - Tideshaper

Imagine the limitless grimness above you.
Ponder where you were truly created.
Come to terms with the fact that you are merely a germ.
Float between worlds.
Suffocate on stars.
End your life drifting in the above.
