Criminally overlooked in the era of the Norwegian bands break outs was Gehenna. They did everything right for awhile and then pretty much wrote themselves out of contention by following other interesting acts like Bloodthorn into the death metal world. Their following album to Malice, "Adimiron Black", is a decent listen, but came nowhere near capturing the power that was Malice.
