One of my all time fave black metal releases. This album rates highly for the single reason of being able to improve on Nightside.Not only that, but it went to the extreme within symphonic Black Metal, which to this day hasn't been matched but you'll undoubtedly find countless bands trying to replicate it. The scope is epic and for this type of Black Metal, the production is spot on. What ever your opinion on their later works, this belongs in any Metal collection.
